Setting Up External Access
The "Help me set up external access" section provides some assistance to allow others outside your network to access your computer.
Typically, this requires creating a firewall rule to allow connections to the remote access server port. Click the Create rule button to automatically add this to the Windows Defender firewall. If you are using another firewall other Window Defender, e.g. McAfee, please refer to its documentation to allow connections through the server port.
For home or small office networks, you will need to set up port forwarding rules on your network router to route incoming traffic on the remote access server port to your PlayIt Live computer. The TCP port you need to forward, along with the name of your computer and its internal IP address are shown on this window. As each router is different it is not possible to give specific instructions. We recommend referring to PortForward.com who provide instructions for many brands of router.
