Generate Playlist Window
 
The Generate Playlist feature allows you to automatically build a playlist based on a template and apply this to your project. This means you do not need to manually select tracks for your show project. To generate a playlist you will need to populate the database with tracks via Manage > Tracks.

Template

1. Template
This is the template used to generate your playlist. Click the Edit link to edit the selected template or the Delete link to delete it. Click Create New Template to create a blank template.
 
Clicking the Edit or Create links will open the Playlist Template Builder.
 
On first run, an example template is provided as a starting point.

Generation Rules

2. Generation Rules
A simple rule is provided to ensure that the same artist is not played to close to another song by the same artist. A 'song' is a track with a Type field of 'Song'.

Generate Button

Click the Generate button to generate a playlist from the selected template. A progress bar will be shown while the generation takes place.

Generated Items

After the generation has finished, this list will be populated with the generated items.

Use Playlist Button

5. Use Playlist Button
If you are happy with the generated items, click the Use Playlist button. If your project already has items, you will be prompted to replace the existing items, or add the generated items to the end.

Close Button

Close the window without adding any items.
