Hour group

1. Hour group
Each playout log item belongs to an hour group.

Play time

2. Play time
Each playout log item has an approximate play time. Assuming previous hours do not over or under run this time should be accurate. The Played? column will display Y when the item has been played.

Hour position

3. Hour position
The position in the hour. The position can be changed by dragging the item up or down the list.

Item type

4. Item type
The type of the playout log item. The available options are:
Track: Choose a specific track to play.
Fixed Time Marker: Choose a fixed time marker to keep to time within the hour.
Break Note: Choose a break note to include in this position in the playout log.
Voice Track: Choose a voice track to insert a voice track placeholder and record a voice track via the main interface.
Remote URL: Choose a remote URL file or stream to include in this position in the log.
Aux Input: Choose an external audio input to include in this position in the log.
Advert Block: Choose an advert block to play a sequence of adverts together as part of the advert log.
Scheduled Event Action: Choose a scheduled event action to trigger an automated action at this position in the log.
Hook Sequence: Choose a hook sequence to play a series of track hooks back to back.
Merge Start: Marks the beginning of a segment where external content (such as commercial traffic logs) will be merged into the playout log.
Merge End: Marks the end of a merged content segment.

Item settings

5. Item settings
The settings for the playout log item. Click the pencil icon to begin editing and launch the settings window. The settings windows used for the playout log item settings are similar to the clock item settings: Edit Track Settings Window, Edit Break Note Settings Window, Edit Fixed Time Marker Settings Window, Edit Voice Track Settings Window, Edit Remote URL Settings Window, Edit Aux Input Settings Window, Edit Hook Sequence Settings Window or Edit Merge Start Settings Window.

Reason

6. Reason
The Reason column shows the source of the playout log item, indicating where it came from during the scheduling process. This will display either the clock name and which specific clock item generated this playout log item, or indicate that it came from the playout pattern. This information is useful for understanding how your schedule was built and troubleshooting any scheduling issues.

Segue type

7. Segue type
Check the segue checkbox to ensure that, when playing the item, the player automatically advances to the next item when it reaches the out point.

Segue style

8. Segue style
The segue style to use for the playout log item. More information about segue styles can be found on the Segue Editor section.

Protected?

9. Protected?
Protected items will not be dropped by Fixed Time Markers or the Auto Adjust feature. Use this for items that must be played during an hour, for example, advert blocks.

Delete button

10. Delete button
Click the Delete button to remove the item from the playout log.
