Encoder Configuration
 
The Encoder Configuration window is used to configure new or existing stream encoders.

Server Settings

1. Server Settings
Information to fill in in this area can be provided by your streaming provider.
 
Server Type: The type of server to stream to. The options available here are Icecast, SHOUTcast v1 and SHOUTcast v2.
Server Address: The address of the server to stream to. This should be a hostname or IP address. It should not include http:// before the address.
Server Port: The port number of the server to stream to.
Username: The user of the account. If you are unsure what to enter here, leave it blank. A default will be used. This option is not required for SHOUTcast v1 servers.
Password: The password of the account.
Mount: The mount to stream to. This option is only available for Icecast servers.
SID: The SID to stream to. This option is only available for SHOUTcast v2 servers.

Audio Settings

2. Audio Settings
Format: The audio format. The only option available is MP3.
Bit rate (Quality): The quality of the audio. Options available are 32-320kbps, Mono/Stereo.

Station Metadata

3. Station Metadata
The data that will be displayed by the streaming server. The Station Name will be displayed to the listener when listening to the stream.

Audio Archive Settings

Check this checkbox and choose a file path to save the streamed audio to a file for later archiving.

Title streaming checkbox

5. Title streaming checkbox
Check this checkbox to stream the Now Playing title to the server. This is supported for Icecast servers, and SHOUTcast servers where the Admin password is the same as the streaming password.

Disabled checkbox

6. Disabled checkbox
Check this checkbox to disable the stream. This will stop the stream from streaming when the Start Streams button is clicked.

OK and Cancel buttons

7. OK and Cancel buttons
Click OK to save the settings. Click Cancel to discard the settings.
